What is the Doctor of Management? The Doctor of Management, most often abbreviated as D.M. or D.Mgt. and sometimes as E.D.M. for Executive Doctor of Management, is an applied, practitioner-scholar, professional-practice doctorate degree in management.  The Doctor of Management degree is a terminal degree designed to develop scholarly practitioners to meet the ever changing, complex demands of business, government and education.  

Why the Doctor of Management? Doctor of Management programs are Re-envisioning the Ph.D for the 21st Century. Doctor of Management programs are responding to the shortage of business school faculty.
